Hunters Knoll Chesapeake Bay Retrievers lives up to the rich breed history. The origins of the Chessie go back to the 19th century in the Chesapeake Bay area where they worked with market hunters retrieving ducks for sale in the Baltimore area and as guards over their masters gear. Today and for Hunters Knoll, our Chessies are our workers and our companions. Good health, temperament, retrieving ability, working desire, and conformation are the attributes we look for in a Chessie. When breeding each attribute is weighed heavily, but, none more than good health.
Hunters Knoll is located east of Lewisburg, in central Pennsylvania. Here our Chessies get to enjoy a country life. There are 12 acres, a small pond, plenty of training areas, and covered kennel runs for all to enjoy. The dogs enjoy daily house time and with five velcro dogs, house time can be pretty lively until bed time.
Our Chessies would love to meet you. Please feel free to contact us and schedule a time to visit.
